December 10, 2012: first freeze (late for us)
December 19, 2012 strong, gusty winds of 40+ mph. Large branch of 15 foot tall Wax Myrtle was torn from the base of the tree.

Cool addition to your page...a rain gauge page. The pic is funny! Hmmm, I should do that on my blog...might only take 6 or 7 lines for the whole year?
ReplyDelete@DD, I'm praying for a whole lot more than 6-7 lines! I've heard recently though that the drought of the 1950's was broken by one storm dumping more than 20 something inches of rain. That's always the way it goes here...feast or famine...
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see how often and how much rain you get there in Albuquerque.
A flood always follows a drought.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea Cat! I'm happy to see you guys are getting much needed rain down there!! I'm feeling inspired to keep track of all the rain here too! or maybe I should be tracking, hours of the much needed sunshine in a day...lol!
ReplyDeleteJust remembered to check your rain gauge page...nice, 17 times now for you, and all that water! My house is up to 13 times, though that gave only 2.41"...but almost 1/2 of that was when I was away. (guess I need to travel more)
ReplyDeleteAt least I have you beat on amount of sunshine! (hmm...how to measure)
